We’re still alive and doing well.

Baron Sketch

Well it wasn’t that I was so busy I couldn’t post this past weekend. We just a had a fun and eventful weekend. A touch of relaxation (sleeping in mostly) as well as some good family time (shooting each other with paintball guns) were some key points of the weekend. Ashley worked hard all week making an incredible cake which I will post photos of soon.

Lately, I’ve been listening to Photoshop Podcasts and in case you haven’t noticed I borrowed a few tips from a few different guys to put this sketch/photo of Baron together (thank you Dave Cross, Scott Kelby and Terry White). I think the sketch of my son Baron worked out well. I have really lerned a lot and would hope to join the NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Users) sometime in the near future. When we lived in Seattle I would go buy Photoshop User Magazine pretty much every month at the local PCC across the drawbridge from our apartment. I really appreciate all the hard work that people have put in to learning new and great tools and that they are so generous to pass them on to other photographers such as myself.

In closing, here are some family photos of a nice August Afternoon.

  • I checked out a decent photoshop dvd at the library. It is taught by Dave Cross. It may be below you but they might have some that are helpful to you. I recommend you check your local library’s website. Sno Isle’s website is great and I have found that the best stuff never hits the shelves. People reserve it online and then pick it up. The PC is the best way to visit the library.

Trust me…once Baron can walk he will love going to the library.
